What we do

HydroZone designs, manufactures and installs the PuraFlow Environmental Series treatment plant, an innovative, cost-effective solution for treating domestic and commercial wastewater.

We know New Zealand’s wastewater infrastructure and fresh water quality is under pressure from aging systems, population growth and urban development. PuraFlow treatment plants are a key part of the solution.

Unique Solutions to Unique Problems

We look at the big picture and design our systems to solve the unique problems each site presents. This could be water table levels, hard ground, hilly terrain or how to best discharge treated wastewater in tricky locations.

We go out of our way to solve the most challenging of wastewater issues to deliver a system that will more than adequately handle the needs of a site and the people who use it, installing a system that will give years of trouble-free service.

Independently tested

PuraFlow systems meet New Zealand standards and have been independently tested by a national testing facility.

About Matt Fergusson

Matt is the founder and owner of HydroZone. Matt’s grandfather established a family-owned company manufacturing Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) troughs and tanks.

Matt has a real No.8 wire Kiwi ingenuity approach to problem-solving. It’s how he took a plain old septic tank from the family business and developed a better way to treat wastewater in rural environments. So began the development of the PuraFlow Environmental Series treatment plant we have today.
